Miniature Horses - "Elbar Stud" NSW
Elbar Stud is a small miniature horse stud on the NSW Mid North Coast in Nambucca Heads. They breed top quality mini colts and fillies and all their mini foals are in strong demand. Owners Jenny and Reg Barbat have lived in the district for 30 years and both have been closely involved with horses all their lives. Reg Barbat has a tremendous interest in breeding horses and general riding. He also has an excellent eye for a good horse whether large or small. In particular he loves miniature horses as they have a great deal of character and are most friendly and likable animals. Jenny Barbat has been riding horses from a very early age through Pony Club and show work. She has shown in hand, stockhorses, palouse ponies, Australian ponies and many other breeds. When forced to give up riding she became involved with breeding miniature horses and hasn't looked back since. Jenny just adores the little minis because they are very easy to handle as well as being kind and trusting. Jenny and Reg Barbat began breeding miniature colts and fillies at Elbar Stud in 2002 and their mini foal breeding program has been most successful. They are extremely pleased with the quality of animals bred to date. All miniature horses bred at Elbar Stud are registered with IMHR and MHAA.
